India's Ganguly may quit international cricket
NEW DELHI (AFP) — Former India captain Sourav Ganguly may quit international cricket "sooner rather than later" with him facing the axe for the upcoming home series against Australia, a report said Tuesday.
The 36-year-old was left out of the Rest of India squad for the five-day Irani Cup match against Ranji Trophy champions Delhi in Vadodara from September 24, seen as a trial match for next month's Test series.
Ganguly's omission from a virtual Test line-up that includes fellow seniors Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble and Venkatsai Laxman means he is unlikely to figure in the highly anticipated series starting in Bangalore on October 9.
The Telegraph newspaper, published from Ganguly's home city of Kolkata, said the stylish left-hander may not attempt to make a comeback into the Indian team.

Actor hurt while shooting
Noted Tollywood actor J D Chakravarthy met with a mishap while shooting for the Tamil film 'Sarvam'. The actor, who is playing a negative role in the film directed by Vishnuvardhan, was hit on his chest while filming a sequence a couple of days ago.
He was rushed to a hospital and was advised rest. Shooting was called off and the crew packed their bags that day. 'Sarvam' features Arya and Trisha in lead roles. Following the success of 'Billa' starring Ajith, Vishnuvardhan is directing this flick which is being produced by Ayngaran Internationals.

Windows 7, in large part, has remained fairly elusive thus far. Granted, we wouldn't expect anything different given that it's still years out from being formally titled and pushed to market, but it's still great to hear that we'll be hearing more shortly. The new Engineering Windows 7 (E7 for short) blog, which is penned by engineering managers Jon DeVaan and Steven Sinofsky, points to two upcoming conferences in which "in-depth technical information about Windows 7" will be revealed. The Professional Developers Conference (PDC) on October 27 will the first of the two, and the aforementioned duo has promised to keep a steady stream of details flowing on their blog during the run-up.

If this happens, many films including Rajini’s magnum opus Robot would be in deep trouble, as Ayngaran International is producing the film.

Prince of Persia-the saga continues
I am a hardcore POP fan and thanks to that I was mightily disappointed when it was apparent that Ubisoft had put and put an end to the Sands of Time trilogy.Good news is that the France-based game company has decided that POP was too good to be discontinued and will therefore make a fourth game.This release called 'Ghosts of the Past' is supposed to be released in late 2008.With the success of Two Thrones,expectations are quite high.

It may be years before the new internet protocol IPv6 takes over from the current IPv4, but a security researcher is warning that many systems – corporate and personal – are already open to attack through channels that have been enabled on their machines to support IPv6 traffic.
Joe Klein, a security researcher with Command Information, says many organizations and home users have IPv6 enabled on their systems by default but don't know it. They also don't have protection in place to block malicious traffic, since some intrusion detection systems and firewalls aren't set up to monitor IPv6 traffic, presenting an appealing vector through which outsiders can attack their networks undetected.
"Essentially, we have systems that are wide open to a network," says Klein, who is a member of an IPv6 task force and will be speaking about the issue tonight at the HOPE (Hackers on Planet Earth) conference in New York. "It's like having wireless on your network without knowing it."
The internet is moving to IPv6 because IPv4 is running out of addresses. Estimates of when IPv4 addresses will be exhausted have varied. Command Information has a widget on its web site counting down the number of IPv4 addresses still available each time the American Registry for Internet Numbers assigns an address or block of addresses. By the widget's count, the supply of IPv4 addresses – currently at around 620 million -- will run out in about 917 days, or about two and a half years.

'Robot' to kick start in the US on August 15

Inflation in Zimbabwe-2.2 MILLION %
Zimbabwe's official rate of annual inflation has hit 2.2m%, the country's central bank said today – a 13-fold increase on the last official rate, in February.

But the Instinct doesn't stop there; it tries to stake a claim on new ground by adding features its arch rival (even the upcoming version) skips: Haptic feedback buzzes below your fingertip when you work the touchscreen, and voice control lets you do certain tasks sans typing.
Of course, the real reason for the iPhone's success is its operating system, and here the Instinct is still playing catchup. While everything is intuitive and pretty zippy, it's still not quite as polished as Apple's version. The web browser shows some terribly rough patches, a crude zoom button stands in for the iPhone's sophisticated "pinch" system. As well, the narrower body trims nearly a half inch off the iPhone's screen size, which really cramps page size. Even typing on the Instinct can be rocky, as there's no pop-up indicator to show you what button you're actually hitting. I made so many mistakes in notes and web URLs that typing slowed to a painful crawl even by iPhone's slow standards. It got so bad I ended up using a fingernail to type instead of my fingertip.
Call quality is fair, not great, but music playback is considerably higher fidelity. Battery life is under five hours of talk time. That's not great for a smartphone, but we'll have to wait and see how it compares to the iPhone 3G in real-world testing

Veteran actor Mohan's comeback venture 'Sutta Pazham' will hit the screens on the18th of July.
Once a popular actor, Mohan virtually dominated the industry in the 1980s rendering back-to-back hits. He ventured to the production of television serials in between.
With 'Sutta Pazham', he is eyeing to bounce back in Kollywood and recreate the magic he once had. After many delays, the movie has been completed recently. Says Mohan, 'the movie is a real entertainer. It will succeed'.

Good Fusion Piece
